Brandon Lewis
Barn Manager ~ Instructor ~ Mentor ~ Volunteer Coordinator

Brandon’s journey at Bramblewood Stables began the way many meaningful things do—unexpectedly, and with a feeling he couldn’t explain but couldn’t ignore. In 2021, he arrived at the farm for a Respite Session alongside his aunt. From the moment he stepped onto the land, something settled into place. The first horse he met was George, who rested his head against Brandon’s chest in a quiet, unmistakable greeting. It was a moment that set everything else in motion.

His early connection with Moose deepened that sense of belonging. What started as a first ride quickly grew into a bond built on trust, patience, and time. Drawn by curiosity and care, Brandon soon began volunteering, eager to learn the rhythms of barn life and the many ways horses are tended beyond the saddle. He became a familiar and reliable presence—helping with camps, supporting daily care, and showing up wherever he was needed.

That steady commitment led Brandon into a larger role as Bramblewood’s barn manager, mentor, and volunteer coordinator. Over the past four years, he has become one of the most trusted and beloved figures on the farm—someone who holds both people and horses with calm attentiveness, generosity, and humor. Brandon has a natural way of helping others feel welcome and capable, whether they are new volunteers, nervous campers, or long-time students finding their footing again.

Working closely alongside Kim, Brandon has grown not only in skill, but in confidence and leadership. His presence reflects the values of the farm: responsibility, consistency, and care carried without ego. He understands the barn from the inside out, and his guidance is rooted in lived experience rather than instruction alone.

Now stepping into his role as an instructor, Brandon brings with him years of hands-on knowledge, deep relationships with the horses, and a genuine devotion to the community that helped shape him. His teaching grows from the same place his journey began—listening closely, showing up fully, and allowing connection to lead the way.

Brandon’s story is woven into Bramblewood’s story. His growth mirrors the farm’s own evolution, and his future here is met with the same excitement and trust he has offered others from the very beginning.
