🌿 Orientation + Equine
Exploration Event
We’re glad you’re here. This page is your landing spot for everything you need to know before attending our upcoming group experience at Bramblewood Stables.
Whether you’re part of a homeschool collective, a club, or a youth organization, this visit is designed to offer your group a meaningful introduction to farm life—and a rare opportunity to slow down and reconnect with the rhythms of land, animals, and the self.
🐴 What to Expect
This session is inspired by our farm’s signature Respite Program, a space where we trade performance for presence and let curiosity lead the way.
Participants will:
Get a hands-on orientation to how a working farm operates
Learn about the history of horsemanship and its ties to culture, agriculture, and ecology
Spend one-on-one time with our horses, exploring the ancient and often forgotten art of working with them on the ground
Discover the basics of horse behavior, care, and communication—without riding
No prior experience with horses is needed. This is a space for wonder, not expertise.
🌾 Why It Matters
This experience blends education, embodiment, and storytelling—connecting participants with the land, the animals, and each other. We’ll explore:
The interconnected roles of agriculture, sustainability, and animal stewardship
The importance of slowness, attunement, and responsibility in both farm and personal life
How traditional horsemanship can be reimagined as a relational, restorative practice
📌 Before You Arrive
You’ll receive a welcome message with a map, parking info, and a few guidelines to help you prepare. All participants (or their parents/guardians) will be asked to sign a waiver before arriving.
