Mindset Coaching

In 2022 our coaching program partnered with the Medical University of South Carolina so that Integrative Medicine students could explore where people search outside of medicine for life change. We are also proud to work with referrals that reach us from our greater community including: RIZE Prevention, South Carolina Continuum of Care, Thrive Upstate, and the Department of Social Services.

What is Life Coaching?

From the moment visitors pass the farm gates and begin their drive down the winding, dirt path that leads to Bramblewood Stables, they notice a shift in their bodies. Their muscles relax, time slows down, they take a deep breath. Surrounded by acres of woods in the middle of the city, many visitors tell us that they did not expect find a place so accessible that seems so removed from the world. In order to know ourselves better, we must first have the space to feel our bodies.

With our feet on the ground and the solid presence of the horse in front of us, Bramblewood’s Equine Assisted Mindset Coaching welcomes clients into a partnership of personal growth. Sessions are conducted by Kim Carter who is certified in the EquineFlow method of coaching, using science-backed modalities for horse guided human development.

Kim’s article, “Healing With a Horse Coach,” is a great place to begin exploring what equine-assisted coaching is all about.

Please Note:

We are not medical professionals. As Bramblewood Stables coaches, we are not providing healthcare, medical, or nutritional therapy services or attempting to diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any physical, mental, or emotional issue.

Coaching is not therapy. The goal of life coaching is to focus on your present circumstances so that you may access the tools you have now to create positive change and growth.

Your life coach is a mentor, colleague and champion of your successes, ready to gently lift you up and show you the way out of habits and circular thinking so that you may more easily access your higher self. In many ways, your coach is your accountability partner.

All current research shows that community is essential for health. Your coach is part of the solution you’re creating for human growth, but not the only piece.

Sometimes your needs are greater than our scope of practice and we are prepared to refer you to the proper channels to find the best help.

If you are currently seeing a counselor, we ask that you first talk with your therapist to see if coaching is a good fit for you.

About Kim Carter.

I am an EquineFlow Coach (CELC) and a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI). I am also a writer and you can find all of my latest articles my latest work along with more information about coaching here. I specialize in igniting transformation in people of all ages who are ready to get to know themselves better. I often use my horses for guidance in this process, but also meet clients virtually to help them shift away from limiting beliefs so that they can find their personal power through a variety of science-backed, coaching modalities. The EquineFlow method provides a catalyst for growth and empowerment for many types of clients, including: women/men who are ready for change, teens who are trying to find their purpose, equestrian professionals and amateurs who are dealing with pressure, and all who are ready to tap into their intuition to find their strengths. I created Bramblewood Stables as a safe haven for personal growth and my greatest joy is standing alongside clients as they move past fear into transformation.

Why choose a life coach?

  • Feelings of dissatisfaction with your current path, you want to make a change of perspective but don’t know where to start.

  • Equestrian professionals and amateurs who are consumed by pressure and want to examine their fears by rediscovering the joy that first brought them to horses.

  • Teens who are struggling with post-pandemic life.

  • You feel that you’ve lost touch with your spirituality or life meaning.

  • You want to break the chains of relationship dynamics that no longer serve your highest purpose.

  • You want courage to grow professionally and/or start your own business.

  • You don’t feel heard by friends, children or significant others. You’re ready to find better ways to communicate.

  •  You’re seeking a safe partner to aid you toward your best self by seeing you, hearing you and encouraging you.

What Can Coaching Give You?

  • The ability to figure out the difference between fear and intuition.

  • Belief in your personal power to make decisions and enact change in your life.

  • Tangible, workable goals that you can use to change your life for the better.

  • An awareness of the biology of your emotions.

  • Financial literacy that creates lasting change.

More from Kim:

Two decades ago, my career path was flourishing in journalism and the arts. I thought I was doing everything right until panic disorder left me virtually housebound. Horses became my salvation. Since childhood, farms had embraced me during tough trials and I discovered there was so much more to horses than simply riding. As neuroscience develops, we are learning more and more about why nature helps us move past old habits and develop new neural pathways so that we do not have to be caught in the prison of our fears. The science-backed tools of the EquineFlow method can be experienced in-person, at the farm, or accessed through virtual sessions by phone or online.

My coaching practice is a way for you to unlock the mysteries of the horse as they stand in quiet witness to your journey while exploring what herd dynamics can show you about human anxieties, dilemmas and inertia.

Horses are patient and willing partners who stand in grounded witness to our personal growth. Coupled with the EquineFlow method, our horses allow mindset coaching clients to explore their freedom of choice, interactions with others and options that might not be apparent without time invested personal development.

If you are a rider or equine professional who has hit a roadblock in your life with horses, our sessions are designed to help you transform your fears and pressures to rediscover the passion that brought you to horses in the beginning.

Moving from fear to transformation is within your grasp.
